Riverchase was laid out as a planned community where I-65 meets I-459, on the Cahaba River, and it is the part of Hoover that grew into the city's commercial center around the Galleria. Its streets wind off Riverchase Parkway and US-31, and our van knows them: the pickup is free, the delivery is free, and the rug is carried from your floor to the van by the technician.
At the door the rug is opened out, the fiber and the dyes are checked, any mark that may only fade is pointed out, and the measuring and the written price follow. The rug leaves when you say so. Then the plant: dusting, a wash as the fiber requires, a rinse, a thorough dry and a check-over, and the rug is back in Riverchase in 5 to 7 business days as a rule.

Riverchase Parkway, the Galleria side and Lorna Road
The single-family streets off Riverchase Parkway around the country club are the core of the route, along with Old Montgomery Highway and the townhomes and condos tucked among the subdivisions. Valleydale Road carries the van east from US-31 toward 280, and the Galleria at US-31 and I-459, with its hotel and the Galleria Tower, marks the commercial end.
On the Lorna Road side we collect from the apartment buildings around Chace Lake and along River Haven Drive, from the senior-living community and the offices on Data Drive, and from Latitude at Riverchase on Hampton Park Drive. Office parks along Riverchase Parkway and Data Drive add their lobby rugs and entry mats to the same trip.

Country-club living rooms, apartment turnover and office lobbies
The established houses here were built around formal living and dining rooms, and the rugs in them are mostly wool and Oriental, often with a sofa and a set of chairs that could use the same visit. That rug is hand-washed cool at the plant after its dyes are checked at the door, with the fringe cleaned as a separate job; the furniture is cleaned where it sits by the same technician.
Riverchase also has a lot of apartments and townhomes, and with them a lot of moving days. A move-out pickup collects the rugs from the old unit and delivers them, washed and dry, to the new one. Rugs heading to the senior-living community on Data Drive are washed before the move, so the smaller place starts clean, and the ones that no longer fit can be wrapped for storage with the terms written down.
Pets are the other Riverchase constant. Can you pick up from an apartment on Lorna Road between leases?
Yes. The apartment and condo buildings along Lorna Road and River Haven Drive, and the complexes toward Chace Lake, are on our regular route. Book the pickup for the days between leases, tell us the building and the unit, and the technician carries the rug down, measures and prices it in writing, and brings it back washed and dry to whichever address you give us, the old one or the new one.
My parents are moving into senior living on Data Drive. Can their rugs be washed first?
Yes, and it is a kind thing to do for them. Rugs leaving a family house for a smaller place usually have years of wear and sometimes a pet history in them, and a wash before the move means the new apartment starts fresh. We collect them at the house, and the ones that will fit are delivered clean and dry to the new address; the rest can be wrapped for storage or sent on to family, with the terms written down at pickup.
Can the sofa be cleaned on the day you pick up the living-room rug?
Yes. The technician who collects the rug can clean the sofa, the chairs and the carpet on the same visit without moving them out, and because the method uses so little moisture the furniture is dry in about an hour and holds no residue. The upholstery is matched to its cleaning code before anything is applied. One arrival time, one written price for all of it, and the rug follows home within the usual 5 to 7 business days.
Does the written price change if the rug turns out to need pet treatment?
No. Pet treatment is found and priced at your door, where the technician passes a UV light across the rug and you see what it picks up, so the figure you approve already includes it. If something turns up at the plant that the door inspection could not see, you get a call before any extra work is done, and you decide. The price you sign off on is the price on the invoice.
