Soil out, not pushed around

A tired-looking carpet is mostly fine soil ground into the pile by feet. The trouble with soaking a carpet to get it out is that the water goes down into the backing and takes a day to come back up, bringing the dirt with it as the carpet dries. Our process does the opposite. Solution goes down in a measured amount, just enough to loosen the soil, and cleaning pads absorb that soil and lift it off the pile.

The pads are changed as the floor needs. A hallway that takes the whole family's traffic gets fresh pads more often than a bedroom nobody walks through, and the technician keeps going until a cleaning pad comes up clean. No sticky film is left to draw dirt back in, so the carpet stays clean longer, and it is dry in about an hour.

The technician walks the rooms with you, counts what is being cleaned, names any mark that is likely to lighten but not disappear, and writes the total down before the work starts. What makes a carpet look tired is mostly soil, and soil comes out. Coffee and red wine usually lift with a pre-treatment, and a traffic lane crushed flat stands back up brighter. If a spot will come out for anybody, it will come out for us.

A few marks are a change in the fiber itself, like a bleach drip or a burn from an iron, and cleaning cannot reverse those. The technician points them out at the door, before the price is written, and tells you straight what to expect. Even then, the room around them usually looks a world better.

Pick up the small things off the floor, toys, shoes, the dog's bed, so the whole room can be cleaned. Furniture can stay where it is; the technician looks at the room with you and the written price covers what you agree on. Run the vacuum if you want to, but do not worry if you cannot. Point out the spots you care about and the rooms you want skipped.

What does low-moisture mean when you clean my carpet?

Why do you write the price down before you start?

Yes, and they are usually the part that needs it most. The technician counts the stairs and the hallway along with the rooms, writes it all on one ticket, and swaps the cleaning pads more often in those spots because they load up faster.
