A rug in a garden home off Moody Parkway lives on hard floors and takes every step in the house. A rug on a mini farm toward Kelley Creek Road takes the boots, the dogs and whatever else walks in. Both end up with grit in the foundation that no vacuum reaches, and both come clean the same way: they leave for a proper wash.

What a Moody rug gets that a floor clean cannot give it
Step one happens with the rug dry: the foundation is beaten free of the grit that has been grinding at it, so what comes out is dust, not mud in the pile.
Synthetic rugs, the usual kind in a newer subdivision house, stand up to the strongest wash we give. Wool is the opposite: cool water, no hurry, dried flat. Plant fibers like jute go brown when they dry slowly, so they never sit. Silk and viscose are washed with hardly any water at all, and fringe is washed on its own.
Then a full rinse, a full dry, and a last inspection of pile and edges before it is rolled and loaded for the drive back. A dog accident goes to the plant as well; the salts it leaves in the foundation dissolve in the wash and rinse away, and that treatment has a 100% pet odor removal guarantee. The rugs go out, the carpet and the sofa get done on the spot
On the pickup visit the same technician can clean bedroom carpet, stair carpet, the sofa and the mattresses, all in the home. The carpet gets a measured amount of solution and cleaning pads that lift the loosened soil out; nothing sticky stays, and the floor is dry in about an hour. A sofa is cleaned the way its care code allows.
The price is worked out per square foot, and the rate is one rate: on average around one to two dollars for each square foot, for a synthetic rug and for wool, silk and the other naturals alike. Every booking starts at $99. The figure written at your door is the figure you pay.

I live in a garden home with no space to roll a rug out. How does the pickup work?
Leave it exactly where it is. The technician looks at a rug best in place: the fiber gets read and the dye gets tested, the furniture on it is lifted off, the tape goes over it and a price goes on the sheet, and only then is it rolled and carried out. The furniture goes back before the van leaves. At delivery the rug is unrolled where it belongs and everything is put back again.
We have a mini farm with dogs and barn boots. Is a rug like that worth washing?
Nearly always, and the written price at your door lets you decide with the number in hand. A rug that takes boots and dogs is mostly carrying dry grit, which the dusting step removes before the wash, and a synthetic or wool rug stands up to a thorough wash well. The technician points out anything that may only fade, such as an old dye run or a bleach mark, before the rug leaves.
What if I am not sure whether my rug is wool or synthetic?
You do not need to know. The technician reads the fiber at your door, from the pile and the back of the rug, and tells you what it is. It matters because the fiber decides the wash the rug gets at the plant; the rate per square foot is the same whatever the rug is made of, and the written price is in your hand before you say yes. Blends and rugs with a cotton foundation are sorted out the same way.
Can you treat a rug for carpet beetles or moths from the farm animals?
Yes. Moths, carpet beetles, dust mites and other pests are washed out of the rug at the plant along with their eggs and larvae, and the rug is sanitized before it comes back. The technician checks the back of the rug at pickup for the bare patches and grit that give an infestation away, and says so before the rug leaves. Eaten spots can be patched or rewoven once the rug is clean, with a separate quote.
Do pickups run on Saturdays in Moody?
They do. Pickups and deliveries run Monday through Saturday, 7 AM to 5 PM. A Saturday morning slot suits plenty of subdivision households whose weekdays are spoken for.
