Local, Licensed & Insured
Ever had a rug turn sticky a week after a cleaning?
That tacky feeling is detergent the machine couldn't rinse back out. It dries inside the fiber and stays put, catching whatever the next pair of shoes carries onto the rug.

Long driveways, free pickup
The van does the hauling, so you never load a muddy rug yourself
A good share of McCalla is acreage: two acres, ten, twenty, down a gravel drive off Eastern Valley Road or Bell Hill Road, with a dog or three and a mudroom that proves it. The rugs in those houses take more than most, and getting one to a cleaner used to mean wrestling a wet, heavy runner into the truck bed. Now the van pulls up to the house, the technician rolls it, and you see it again when it is clean.
The subdivisions get the same pickup. Tannehill Valley, McCalla Trace and the newer streets off US-11 are full of stair runners, kids' bedroom rugs and the big rug under the sectional, all of them taking a daily beating that a vacuum only tidies. The grit is in the foundation, and it comes out at the plant.
McCalla rides the same west-side route day as Bessemer. Book, and the office pins down the day and the hour. There is no charge for the drive, however long the driveway.
Our Promise
Satisfaction guaranteed, on every rug we wash.
Unroll it, walk on it, look it over in your own light. Point out anything you'd like washed again and it goes back through the plant at no charge, whether you notice it at the door or a few days later. No store credit, no runaround.
How it works
How a Rug Runners pickup works
Book a cleaning
Call, text or book online. You pick the day, often the same day, and an exact arrival time, not a four-hour window.
We measure at your door
Our uniformed tech looks the rug over with you, measures it and writes the price down before it leaves the house.
Washed at our plant
Dusting, a wash matched to the fiber, a controlled dry and a final inspection, all backed by our guarantee.
Delivered back
Most rugs are home in 5–7 business days. We bring it in, roll it out and put the furniture back.
Tannehill Valley to Bell Hill Road
Tannehill Valley, McCalla Trace, the lake communities and the acreage between
The route works McCalla from the interstate exits at Rock Mountain Lakes Road and I-459, down Eastern Valley Road toward Tannehill Ironworks and out Bell Hill Road and US-11. That covers Tannehill Estates, Tannehill Lakes and Tannehill Springs, McCalla Trace by I-459, the Million Dollar Lakes side, Camp Creek, and every acreage address in between.
If your drive is long, gated or easy to miss, say so when you book. The technician would rather have a landmark and a gate code than find out at the mailbox. The 35022 addresses around Promenade Tannehill and the hospital are on this same run.
Three McCalla rugs, three washes
A kid's rug, a dog's runner and a thirty-year wool rug, each washed its own way
The bedroom rug with marker on it and the runner the dog sleeps on are usually nylon or polypropylene, and they get the full treatment: dusted dry, washed hard, rinsed until the water runs clear, dried through. Juice, mud and the accident nobody mentioned come out. Marker and dye that have bonded to the fiber may only fade, and the technician says which is which at your door.
The wool rug that has been down in the same room for thirty years is a different job. It is dusted slowly, because a rug that has never been washed holds more dry soil than its owner would believe, then given a cool wash, rinsed until nothing is left in it, and dried flat so it holds its shape. The back gets checked for moth activity while it is at the plant, since a rug that has sat under furniture for years is where moths like to work, and a moth treatment can be added if there is any sign of them.
Every rug dries completely before it is rolled, gets a last look at the pile and the fringe, and rides home on the next run through McCalla.

The McCalla stop, top to bottom
Rugs out to the plant, the carpet and the couch done in the house
A McCalla pickup can clear every rug out of the house in one trip, and while they are gone the technician can clean the stair carpet, the bedrooms, the sectional and the mattresses where they sit. That work is done with a low-moisture process, safe for kids and pets, with the carpet dry in about an hour, so a farmhouse with dogs coming and going is not off limits for the afternoon.
A dog accident on a rug shows up under the UV light at your door; at the plant the salts come out of the foundation in the wash, and the 100% pet odor removal guarantee covers the result. A runner headed straight back to the mudroom can be treated with fiber protection once it is washed, so the next paw print wipes up.
The price is written at your door before anything leaves: rugs by the square foot, a dollar or two a square foot as a rule, synthetics and wool and silk all at that one rate, and every booking starts at $99. What you approve on the porch is what you pay at delivery.
Every rug we wash carries the satisfaction guarantee. When it comes home, open it up, look at it under your own lights, and tell the technician about anything you would like redone; the rug goes back through the plant and there is no second bill. You pay when it is back on the floor and you are done looking.

Asked out in McCalla
What people out here ask before the van comes
Do you pick up on acreage off the main roads, or only in the subdivisions?
Both, at the same price. The van goes down the gravel drive, the technician unrolls the rug on the porch or in the hall, measures and prices it, and loads it. A long driveway, a gate or a dog that needs putting up first are all worth mentioning when you book so the technician arrives ready. The drive out to you does not cost anything extra, and neither does the drive back with the clean rug.
Can a bedroom rug with marker and juice spots come clean?
Juice, mud, food and most of what kids put on a rug come out in the wash. Marker is the one to be honest about: some washes out, some has dyed the fiber and will only lighten. The technician looks at each spot at your door and tells you which is which before you decide, so there are no surprises at delivery. A synthetic bedroom rug stands up to a tough wash and a long rinse, and it usually comes back looking like it did on the first day.
Is a wool rug that has been down for thirty years safe to wash?
Yes, when it is washed for what it is. The dyes are tested at your door, thin spots and loose edges are noted, and at the plant the rug is dusted slowly, given a cool wash and a complete rinse, and laid flat to dry so it stays the size it was. A wool rug that has never been washed holds far more dry soil than its owner expects, and it comes back brighter and softer. If moths have been at the back, that is found while it is at the plant and can be treated.
We are clearing a Tannehill Valley house before a renovation. How many rugs can go out at once?
There is no limit. Two or three at a time is typical, and a whole-house clear-out before a renovation is no trouble. Each rug is unrolled, inspected, measured and written up on its own line, so you see exactly what each one costs and can send some now and some later if you would rather. They all ride together to the plant, are washed by fiber, and come back on the same delivery.
Can the dog's hallway runner be washed often without wearing it out?
Yes. Washing does not wear a rug out; grit does. The sand and dry soil that collect in the base of a runner grind against the fibers with every footstep, and dusting and washing them out is what makes the runner last. A synthetic hallway runner that the dog uses daily can be washed once or twice a year with no harm. Tell us at booking it is the dog's, and it gets checked for accidents under a UV light.
