What Inverness and Greystone customers ask
Can the van get through the Greystone gates for a pickup?
Yes. Greystone's Founders and Legacy sections sit behind gates on private roads, and we pick up inside both. Put the gate code on the booking, or let the gatehouse know a Rug Runners van is expected at your arrival time, and the technician drives straight to the door. Delivery works the same way, and the rug is carried in and unrolled where it belongs.
Do you serve the Meadow Brook side of 280 too?
Yes. Meadow Brook, Kirkman Preserve, the townhomes at Inverness Cove and the streets around Lake Heather and the country club are all on the same pickup route as Greystone, as is anything along Valleydale Road out to Veterans Park. The 35242 ZIP code also covers Liberty Park across I-459; that is a Vestavia Hills pickup, and the van goes there too, with the same free trip.
Will a wool rug shrink or felt in the wash?
Not in ours. Wool felts when it is agitated in heat, which is what a rented machine or a home shampooer does to it. At the plant a wool rug is washed cool, handled gently, rinsed fully and dried lying flat, which is how it keeps its size, shape and softness. The dyes are tested before the wash so the colors stay put as well, and you are told at the door if anything about the rug calls for extra care.
Do you pick up lobby rugs from offices on Inverness Center Drive?
Yes. Offices and medical practices along Inverness Center Drive, Inverness Parkway and Hugh Daniel Drive send us their lobby and reception rugs and entry runners. The pickup can be set for a quiet hour within our Monday to Saturday schedule, each piece is priced in writing before it leaves, and a standing rotation can be arranged so the lobby never goes without a rug. The waiting-room chairs and the carpet can be done on the same stop.
